OSCE SMM monitors prevented from entering DPR-controlled Novoazovsk

The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine has informed that the SMM patrols were prevented from entering the town of Novoazovsk in Donetsk region, which is now under the control of the so-called “Donetsk People’s Republic”.

"Minsk violation: OSCE monitors are prevented access to Novoazovsk again. Two SMM patrols stopped at checkpoint," the OSCE SMM posted on Twitter.

At the same time, the OSCE SMM informs that other civilian traffic moves freely. In addition, the SMM patrols saw a lot of military type movement in direction to and from Ukraine-Russia border.

In the end, the OSCE SMM patrols left Novoazovsk after waiting for more than three hours. The monitors claim they will continue to “monitor and pursue full access all over Ukraine as mandated.”
