Militants launched 17 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Militants launched 17 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in ATO area in Donbas over the past day.

This is reported by the ATO press center.

In Donetsk direction, militants used 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to fire at Ukrainian positions outside Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk). As a result, one Ukrainian serviceman was wounded, and another one was injured. In addition, militants used mortars and grenade launchers to shell Ukrainian strongholds near Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk). ATO troops also came under small arms fire outside Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk).

In Luhansk direction, Ukrainian positions came under heavy machine gun fire near Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk) and Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk). Illegal armed formations also shelled Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk), using small arms.

In Mariupol direction, Russian-backed militants used 120mm mortars and grenade launchers to fire at Ukrainian strongholds outside Lebedynske (16km north-east of Mariupol).
