The parties to the conflict in eastern Ukraine should withdraw military equipment and military officers from the contact line.

Ms. Fiona Frazer, the Head of the United Nations Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine, said this while presenting the 18th quarterly report, an Ukrinform correspondent informed.

"The parties must adhere to the Minsk accords, they must withdraw military equipment and military officers from the contact line... It is also important that the parties to the conflict observe the international humanitarian law, and this means that they must stop shelling residential areas and withdraw military equipment and military officers from populated areas," Fraser said.

In her opinion, there is an opportunity to agree. In particular, she noted that on June 1, the parties agreed to observe the cease-fire regime and they fulfilled this promise.

"This proves that it is possible to agree," the head of the mission stressed.
