Militants launched 45 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

In Mariupol direction, militants used 120mm mortars to shell Ukrainian positions near Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol) and Vodiane. The enemy also fired at ATO troops outside Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Talakivka (20km north-west of Mariupol), using grenade launchers and small arms.

In Donetsk direction, the tensest situation was observed in suburbs of Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), where militants shelled Ukrainian troops, using 120mm and 82mm mortars, antiaircraft mounts and infantry weapons. In addition, illegal armed formations used 82mm mortars, small arms and grenade launchers to fire at Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk), Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk).

In Luhansk direction, militants used 120mm mortars to shell Ukrainian positions near Trokhizbenka (33km north-west of Luhansk). ATO troops came under artillery fire outside Katerynivka (64km west of Luhansk).

As a result of hostilities over the past day, one soldier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was killed, six servicemen were injured.
