Militants launched 77 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

The tensest situation was observed in Mariupol direction, where militants used 82mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms to fire at Ukrainian positions near Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Talakivka (20km north-west of Mariupol) and Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk). The enemy also launched attacks on residential areas in Marinka, Pavlopol and Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), using artillery, anti-tank grenade launchers and mortars. No civilian casualties were reported.

In Donetsk direction, illegal armed formations fired at ATO troops outside Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), using 120mm and 82mm mortars, combat vehicle guns and infantry weapons. In addition, terrorists used mortars and tanks to launch attacks on Ukrainian positions near Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk), Novhorodske (34km north of Donetsk), Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk), Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk).

In Luhansk direction, Russian-backed militants used 120mm mortars to shell Ukrainian strongholds near Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), Kriakivka (34 km north-west of Luhansk) and Novotoshkivske (53km north-west of Luhansk). ATO troops also came under small arms and grenade launcher fire near Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk), Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk) and Popasna (90 km north-west of Luhansk).
