Defense Ministry: 14,000 soldiers signed contracts for military service with Ukrainian Army since year start

Over 14,000 soldiers have concluded contracts for military service with the Ukrainian Army since January 2017.
Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Artur Artemenko said this at a press conference on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported
“Since the beginning of the year, about 14,000 contracts were signed, over 10,000 contracts were concluded by officers,” he said.
He also added that 14,135 Ukrainian male citizens aged 20 -27 were called up for military service in the Ukrainian Armed Forces and other military formations.
