Militants launched 50 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Militants launched 50 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in ATO area in Donbas over the past day.

This is reported by the ATO press center.

In Mariupol direction, militants used 120mm mortars to shell Ukrainian positions near Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol) and Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk). Terrorists also shelled ATO troops outside Shyrokyne, Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk) and Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), using 82mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms.

In Donetsk direction, the tensest situation was observed in Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), where illegal armed formations launched attacks, using Grad multiple rocket launchers. In addition, ATO troops came under mortar, grenade launcher and small arms fire outside Novhorodske (34km north of Donetsk), Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk) and Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk).

In Luhansk direction, Russian-backed militants used 82mm mortars to shell Ukrainian troops in Troitske (69km west of Luhansk). Terrorists also fired at ATO strongholds outside Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk), using grenade launchers and heavy machine guns.
