Militants launched 48 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

In Mariupol direction, militants used 120mm mortars to shell Ukrainian positions near Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol). Terrorists also launched attacks on ATO troops near Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), using tank. Ukrainian servicemen outside Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol) came under 82mm mortar fire.

In Donetsk direction, Russian-backed militants used 82mm and 120mm mortars to fire at Ukrainian strongholds in the southern outskirts of Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk). Terrorists also fired at Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk), Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk) and Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), using 82mm mortars, small arms and grenade launchers. In addition, militants shelled the Donetsk filtration station, once again jeopardizing the ecological security of the whole region.

In Luhansk direction, illegal armed formations launched attacks on Ukrainian servicemen outside Troitske (69km west of Luhansk), using 120mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms. ATO troops in the area of Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk) and Zolote (67km north-east of Luhansk) came under 82mm mortar fire.
