U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch attended the official turn-over of critical, secure communications equipment from the U.S. Department of Defense to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS).

This was posted on Facebook page of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine.

"The SBGS serves on the front lines of the conflict in the East. When they identified urgent equipment and resources needed in order to continue its mission of protecting Ukraine’s borders and civilian population, the United States responded by providing assistance, including the Mobile Command, Control, and Communications (C3) Center," the statement says.

As noted, this center and the 500 radios handed over today feature the latest technologies and will allow for secure and reliable communications between State Border Guard Service of Ukraine leadership and its personnel in the field.
