Ukrinform
The Defense Ministries of Ukraine and Canada have agreed to cooperate in the sphere of cyber security.

This has been stated by Defense Minister of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak, the ministry’s press service reports.

“The Defense Ministry of Ukraine will cooperate with Canada on many issues, including those related with cyber defense. It is very important in view of the fact that the Russian Federation has carried out more than seven thousand cyber-attacks on Ukraine over the last three years. I consider this area of cooperation to be extremely important for joint discussion and counteraction against threats,” Minister Poltorak said.

As reported, the Canada-Ukraine Defense Cooperation Agreement was signed in Ottawa on April 3. The Arrangement was signed by Canada’s Minister of National Defense Harjit S. Sajjan and Ukraine’s Defense Minister General Stepan Poltorak.
