Militants fired at OSCE mission last week – Alexander Hug

The militants of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) fired at the OSCE mission and captured the OSCE unmanned aircraft last week.

Alexander Hug, the Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine, said this during a press conference, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"Last Friday our observers were attacked by members of so-called Donetsk People's Republic in Yasynovata. The militants captured one of our unmanned aircrafts. They shelled it from small arms," Hug said.

He has noted that this is a clear violation of the Minsk agreements, providing for unrestricted movement of the OSCE mission.

"This incident is cynical, because it is the "DPR" that insists on monitoring by our observers," Hug said.
