Defense Ministry spent UAH 230 mln for medicines and medical equipment in 2016

Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s Spokesperson Colonel Oleksiy Chornobay said this at a press conference on Friday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s budget for 2016 on the health care envisaged about UAH 258 million, which the Defense Ministry has already received in full. About UAH 230 million of these funds have been spent on the purchase of medicines and payment for medical equipment," said Chernobay.

The Defense Ministry’s representative also noted that 1,068 serviceperson underwent the rehabilitation treatment since the beginning of the year.
