US to provide Ukraine with $350 mln in military aid

The U.S. Congress plans to allocate $350 million in military assistance to Ukraine next fiscal year.
This was announced by a representative of the Senate Armed Services Committee, TASS news agency reports.
"USD 350 million is budgeted for Ukraine. These funds could be used to provide military assistance," he said.
He noted that the US President would make decision on the usage of this sum, but no additional conditions were provided for that.
The committees of both houses of the Congress have already finalized the defense budget for 2017 fiscal year. The vote is scheduled for the end of this week.
