Defense Ministry pays off over UAH 147 mln to ATO participants

Since the start of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in eastern Ukraine, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry has paid off money rewards worth almost UAH 147.7 million to servicepersons of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for participation in ATO.

Oksana Havrylyuk, the head of Defense Ministry’s department on communication and press, stated this at a press briefing on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We continue to pay off money rewards to servicepersons of the Armed Forces, who fulfill combat tasks in the ATO zone. As of today, Ukrainian servicepersons have received payments worth almost UAH 147.7 million. In particular, UAH 6.12 million [was paid off] for the fulfillment of combat missions as part of subdivisions, and over UAH 140 million for the direct participation in military operations,” she said.
