Defense Ministry: Over 63,500 soldiers sign contracts for military service in 2016

Over 63,500 servicepersons have signed contracts for military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine this year.
Oksana Havrylyuk, the head of Defense Ministry’s department on communication and press, stated this at a press briefing on Friday, November 18, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Since the start of the year, contracts with the Armed Forces were signed by over 63,500 servicepersons, of whom 7,000 are officers,” Havrylyuk said.
She also added that over 4,000 servicepersons received the ATO combatant status over the past week.
