Defense Ministry pays off UAH 146 million to ATO participants

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has paid off money rewards worth almost UAH 147 million to servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for participation in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in eastern Ukraine.

Lieutenant-Colonel Oleksiy Chornobay, the official Defense Ministry’s spokesperson said this at a press briefing on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We continue to pay off money rewards to servicepersons of the Armed Forces, who fulfill combat tasks in the ATO zone. As of today, Ukrainian servicepersons have received payments worth almost UAH 147 million for the participation in ATO,” Chornobay said.

Lieutenant-Colonel Chornobay also specified that UAH 6.225 million was paid off to Ukrainian soldiers for the successful performance of combat tasks in the units and over UAH 139.5 million for the direct participation in hostilities.
