Russian aggression in Donbas already kills 68 children – First Vice Speaker of Ukrainian Parliament

First Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Iryna Gerashchenko said this at the opening of the joint meeting of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly committee on political issues, human rights, democracy and social affairs, education, culture, and civil society, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"In reality, the Russian Federation, which now is shelling Syria, killing primarily women and children, carries out the same policy in Donbas. The only difference is weapons, which are used against women and children," Gerashchenko said.

She informed that 495 Ukrainian women, who were predominantly Russian-speaking, and 68 children had been killed in Donbas in last two years. 1,152 children have been seriously injured. Many of these children have severe amputations.
