Militants launch 54 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 54 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbas over the past day.

This is reported by the ATO Headquarters press center.

In Mariupol direction, the enemy launched 31 attacks on ATO troops. The enemy fired at Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), using small arms, machine guns, and grenade launchers, at Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), using 82mm mortars. Ukrainian positions in Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol) were shelled from anti-missile systems, grenade launchers, machine guns, and 120mm mortars," the statement reads.

Five more attacks were launched on ATO troops in Luhansk direction. The terrorists fired at Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk), using 82mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms. Ukrainian positions in Troitske (69km west of Luhansk) came under 120mm mortar fire.

Eighteen ceasefire violations by terrorists were recorded in Donetsk direction. The militants shelled at Ukrainian troops in Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk), using grenade launchers and small arms. ATO positions near Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk) and Novhorodske (34km north of Donetsk) came under heavy machine gun fire.
