Defense Minister Poltorak held meeting with US Congress representatives

Defense Minister of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak held talks with representatives of the US Congress Mr William Florence and Mr Andrew P. Harris.
“During the talks the parties discussed the situation in Donbas and the progress of troops’ disengagement and the issue of lethal weapons provision to Ukraine. The Russian armed aggression is not just a challenge to Ukraine but to the European Union and NATO nations too,” Poltorak wrote on his Facebook page.
Congressman William Florence, in turn, assured of further US support for Ukraine in the political arena, as well as in providing assistance, and added that Americans are amazed by Ukrainians’ firmness and their aspirations towards independence and European future.
In addition, the parties addressed to current problems of the Ukrainian army in order to provide the required assistance and support.
