Defense Ministry: Over 181,000 servicepersons get combatant status since ATO start

Since the start of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in eastern Ukraine, 181,205 servicepersons and employees of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have received the combatant status.
Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s Spokesperson, Colonel Oleksiy Chornobay said this at a briefing on Friday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Since the start of the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine, 181,205 servicepersons and employees of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have received the combatant status. Defense Ministry’s decorations have been granted to 16,000 ATO participants,” he said.
