Ukrainian National Defence Secretary: Issue of providing Ukraine with modern lethal weapons blocked

Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov has stated that the issue of providing Ukraine with modern high-precision lethal weapon is blocked.
He stated this at the briefing in Kyiv on Friday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Unfortunately, it cannot be explained by logic, but still, for the third year of the war, we do not have the military-technical cooperation with our partners in modern lethal weapons supplies. This issue is blocked," the Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council said.
Turchynov voiced the widespread thesis used to explain such a position of the western partners: "not to irritate Russia."
He noted that under such circumstances Ukraine was forced to rely on its own strength in resisting Russian-terrorist forces.
