Ukrainian Defence Ministry signs contracts with almost 41,000 soldiers

About 40,800 soldiers have already signed contracts for a military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the beginning of 2016.

Lieutenant-Colonel Oleksiy Chornobay, the official representative of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry, said this at the briefing on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Ukrainian citizens continue to sign contracts for a military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. About 40,800 soldiers, including 4,500 officers, have already signed contracts since the beginning of the year," Chornobay said.

He also noted that, according to the regional employment centers, contract service is still one of the most competitive professions in the Ukrainian labor market.
