Militants launch 61 attacks on Ukrainian troops in last day

The situation in ATO area remains tense, but controlled, the ATO Headquarters press center reports.

In Mariupol direction, the militants used all types of small arms and grenade launchers to shell ATO positions near Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol). Mortars were used to fire at Ukrainian troops outside Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk), Taramchuk (30km south-west of Donetsk), Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk).

In Donetsk direction, the enemy used small arms, heavy machine guns and grenade launchers to shell Ukrainian troops near Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk), Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk) and Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk). ATO troops near Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk) and Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk) came under 82 mm mortar fire.
