Poltorak: 18,000 military enlisted under contract in 2016

Since the beginning of 2016, a total of 18,000 people have applied to conclude the contract for military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak said this at a government sitting on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Since the beginning of the year we have recruited 18,000 people under the contract, while last year 200-300 people entered the army per month,” Poltorak said.
At the same time, he noted that first of all people with battle experience were selected for the Armed Forces.
