The ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) in Kyiv on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"The armored vehicles from the European Union will provide a secure environment for the monitors working on the line of contact," said Chief Monitor of the OSCE SMM Ertugrul Apakan.
According to him, the European Union has already supported the Mission both through funding and logistic support. In particular, last year, the EU allocated 24 armored vehicles for the SMM. Apakan is sure that the expanded fleet will increase the monitoring capacity of the Mission.
