Terrorist attack in Bucha: Court orders suspect held without bail

This was announced by the investigating judge, according to Ukrinform.

“The court ruled to grant the motion regarding Bohdan Tymchyk, born in 2004, a native of the Zmiiv district of Kharkiv region. To apply a preventive measure to the suspect in the form of detention for a period of 60 days—until May 21, 2026, inclusive—without setting bail,” the judge said.

The ruling may be appealed to the Kyiv Court of Appeals within five days of its announcement.

As reported by Ukrinform, an explosion occurred on the morning of March 23 on one of the streets in Bucha. After emergency services arrived at the scene, another explosion occurred.

A 21-year-old resident was detained on the spot in connection with the double terrorist attack. He was charged under Part 2 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code (a terrorist act committed repeatedly or by prior conspiracy by a group of persons, or if it resulted in significant property damage or other serious consequences).
