In the Dnipropetrovsk region, the SSU’s counterintelligence unit detained two agents of Russian special services who directed missile and drone strikes on Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih.

According to Ukrinform, the SSU reported this.

The investigation established that the suspects are two residents who acted separately but had a single common handler from Russia.

According to the case file, one of the agents was an employee of a metallurgical plant. In his free time, he drove around the city in his own car and identified locations where Ukrainian defenders’ personnel and equipment were concentrated.

The suspect also tracked the time and location of Ukrainian Defense Forces military convoys moving toward the front lines.

“Another agent was a local draft dodger who, while evading mobilization, directed Russian airstrikes,” the SSU reported.

To adjust enemy shelling, the man tracked the routes of mobile fire groups in Dnipro from the window of his apartment.

The SSU documented the agents’ crimes and detained them at their residences. During searches, smartphones containing evidence of their work for the enemy were seized.

According to the case file, both suspects were recruited by Russian intelligence through pro-Kremlin chat rooms in Telegram channels.

Investigators informed the detainees of their suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law).

The suspects are being held in custody without bail. They face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
