Foreigner sentenced to six years in prison for attempting to pass secret Ukrainian aircraft documents to foreign intelligence
That is according to the Prosecutor General's Office, Ukrinform reports.
The offender was charged under Part 1 of Article 114 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (espionage).

It was established that the individual entered Ukraine in 2022 and acted on instructions from a foreign intelligence agency.
In 2024, the man approached an engineer at a state-owned enterprise and offered him $1 million for technical documentation on a Ukrainian aircraft.

The engineer handed over a flash drive containing materials marked "Secret" that included state secrets.

Immediately after receiving the drive, the agent was detained by the Security Service of Ukraine.
The court's verdict has entered into legal force.
As reported earlier, a senior sergeant of the State Border Guard Service was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property for passing classified information containing state secrets to Russian occupiers.
