Kuleba on Russian athletes' participation in Olympics: IOC ready to trample on graves of thousands of people

The intention of the International Olympic Committee to allow Russian athletes to participate in the next Olympic Games speaks of its complete contempt for the deaths of innocent Ukrainians.

According to an Ukrinform correspondent, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said this on his Twitter account.

"The efforts of the IOC to sweep Russian war crimes under the rug is a testament to how far the Olympic gods have become detached from reality. The IOC is willing to trample on the graves of thousands of innocent people who have been and are being killed by Russians," Kuleba wrote.

The International Olympic Committee earlier published a statement in which it assumed that Russians and Belarusians would be able to compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics under a neutral flag.

Ukraine's Minister of Youth and Sports and President of the National Olympic Committee Vadym Guttsayt said it is unacceptable for Ukraine that Russian and Belarusian athletes participate in the Olympic Games.
