Ukrainian troops hit two enemy command posts, two air defense positions

During the day, Ukraine’s Air Force launched four strikes on enemy clusters. Ukrainian missile and artillery forces hit two command posts, two air defense positions, and three enemy manpower clusters.

This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 18:00 on January 28 published on Facebook.

During the day, the Russian Federation launched a missile attack on the civilian infrastructure of the town of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, and more than 15 MLRS attacks, resulting in civilian casualties.

"Suffering big manpower losses, the enemy is still continuing offensive operations in Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Novopavlivka directions. In Kupyansk, Lyman, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson directions, the enemy defends itself," the General Staff reports.

In Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna, and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the situation has not changed significantly, no offensive enemy groups have been detected. The training of units of the 6th motorized rifle division of the 3rd army corps of the Russian Federation is ongoing at the training grounds of the Republic of Belarus.

In Sivershchyna direction, Russian troops shelled the areas of Hay, Khrinivka, Mykolaivka in Chernihiv region; Volfyne, Muraveynia, Seredyna-Buda, Stara Huta, Rozhkovychy, and Bachivsk in Sumy region.

In Slobozhanshchyna direction, Huryiv Kozachok, Krasne, Starytsia, Okhrimivka, Varvarivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Neskuchne, Ternova, Kupyansk districts in Kharkiv region came under enemy mortar and artillery fire.

In Kupyansk direction, the enemy shelled the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Ivanivka, Kyslivka, Krokhmalne in Kharkiv region; Novoselyvske in Luhansk region; Berestove in Donetsk region.

In Lyman direction, the invaders used mortars and tube artillery to attack Makiivka, Chervonopopivka, and Dibrova in Luhansk region.

In Bakhmut direction, the Russian troops hit the areas of 18 settlements, including Spirne, Verkhniokamyanske, Rozdolivka, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, Kurdiumivka, Mayorsk in Donetsk region.

In Avdiivka direction, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Nevelske, Vesele, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, and Novomykhailivka came under enemy fire.

In Novopavlivka direction, Bohoyavlenka, Vuhledar, and Zolota Nyva in Donetsk region were hit.

In Zaporizhzhia direction, the Russians shelled 15 settlements, including Vremivka and Novopil in Donetsk region; Malynivka, Chervone, Huliaypole, Charivne, Orikhiv, Novodanylivka in Zaporizhzhia region.

In Kherson direction, the enemy fired artillery at Mykhailivka, Havrylivka, Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Chervony Mayak, Kozatske, Tiahynka, Komyshany, and Kherson.

It has been established that the Russians continue to exert psychological and physical pressure on the local population in the temporarily occupied territories. For example, workers of the Zaporizhzhia NPP, who did not sign a labor contract with the invaders, were banned from entering the plant. The workers who were forced to sign a contract were told that their wages would be reduced, citing that the plant was not working.

Meanwhile, Russian troops continue to suffer losses. In particular, according to the General Staff data, about 50 wounded Russian servicemen were brought to a hospital in Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia region in recent days alone. After receiving formal assistance, most of them are sent back to the front line.
