More than 41,600 criminal proceedings opened over crimes committed by Russian army – police

Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, police officers have opened 41,648 criminal proceedings over the facts of crimes committed by Russia’s military and their accomplices on the territory of Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the National Police press service.

In particular, Ukrainian law enforcers registered 30,639 cases related to violations of the laws and customs of war, 8,988 - encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, 1,884 - collaborative activities.

In addition, 88 cases were instituted over high treason and 37 cases over sabotage.

In the liberated territories of Sumy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk and Kherson regions, law enforcers found 34 places where the Russians had illegally detained and tortured Ukrainian citizens.
