National Police: Over 300 thousand crimes registered this year

In January-July 2018, 311,200 crimes were registered in Ukraine, which is 9.6% less compared to the correspondent period in 2017.
The Criminal Investigation Department of the National Police stated this following a request from Ukrinform.
"Thus, according to statistical data, in January-July 2018, 311,200 crimes were registered, which is 9,6% less than during the corresponding period of the previous year," reads the report.
At the same time, according to the police, there is a slight increase in the total number of registered crimes in Kharkiv region - by 7.2%, in Zakarpattia region - by 5.9%, in Luhansk region - by 2%, and in Dnipropetrovsk region - by 1.8%.
It is noted that during the reporting period, 115.3 thousand crimes were solved, which is 5.3% more than in the previous year.
