State Border Service strengthens border protection in Zakarpattia region

This is reported by the press service of the State Border Service of Ukraine.

"The decision to strengthen that direction was taken by the leadership of the State Border Service because according to the results of operational and official activities, a number of illegal activities related to the movement of groups of illegal migrants, excisable goods, including using caches, small aircrafts across the state border is not decreasing,” reads the report.

Officers of the State Border Service Administration will go on duty as members of border patrol units in nine subdivisions. They will detect possible transfers of illegal migrants, corruption and smuggling cases and administrative violations so that to prevent illegal actions on the state border of Ukraine.
