Groysman: Government in mid-September to release report on timber smuggling

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said that the government in the middle of September will release a report on the work carried out to stop timber smuggling in Ukraine.

He stated this during a meeting with the heads of the State Fiscal Service, National Police, State Audit Service and Ukrzaliznytsia, the government’s portal reports.

"We are preparing a public report for the middle of September on the carried out work, which will include certain names. Get ready for serious work. Smuggling has been stopped. And we will strengthen this work," the prime minister noted.

He stressed that all forestry enterprises in Ukraine will be inspected for possible timber smuggling. The inspections will be carried out jointly by the State Fiscal Service, National Police, and State Audit Service.
