Head of Ukraine’s National Police department in Donetsk region Vyacheslav Abroskin posted this on his Facebook page.
"21 civilians were killed and another 94 people were injured as a result of fighting in Donetsk region during the first eight months of 2016," he wrote.
He added that the number of criminal offenses, including serious and very serious crimes, declined in Donetsk region over the first eight months of this year.
According to Abroskin, decreased criminal rate in the region is a result of joint work of the National Police, the National Guard, the Security Service of Ukraine and the Armed Forces units.
