Former Kyiv prosecutor to be tried for crimes against Maidan activists

"The Main Investigation Department in cooperation with the Procedural Control Department of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine completed the pre-trial investigation and submitted to the court the indictment against former prosecutor of the Kyiv Prosecutor's Office for holding criminally liable the activists of the Revolution of Dignity, known to be innocent," the press service noted.

The former prosecutor is accused of abuse of authority and official position, which has resulted in substantial harm to legitimate rights, freedoms and interests of the citizens of Ukraine, as well as the state represented by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine in the form of undermining the authority of the state body.
