Hrabovsky’s murder: investigation examines version of planned special operation

The investigation into the murder of defense lawyer Yuri Hrabovsky considers a version of a planned special operation.

Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine - Chief Military Prosecutor Anatoly Matios told a briefing in Kyiv Friday, Ukrinform reports.

"Apart from monetary, household, and other versions the investigation considers the version of a specially planned operation," he said.

Matios stated all versions put forward by the investigation will be tested, "regardless all the obstacles and possible negative comments made by any party." He stressed that the the best experts, investigators and the SBU officers are working on the case now.

Matios said discovering the body of was made possible because the second suspect, who was detained by the SBU and military prosecutor's office in the morning of March 24 in the Odesa region on charges of kidnapping and murder, made a statement. It is from this person the police received information about the location and circumstances of the lawyer’s murder.
