Enemy drones attack Konotop, casualties reported

Russian forces launched a drone attack on the city of Konotop in Ukraine's Sumy region on Monday morning.

According to Ukrinform, the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, reported on Telegram.

"Konotop community. This morning, the enemy attacked the city with several UAVs. Civilian infrastructure, particularly residential areas, came under attack. There are casualties. Medical personnel are providing all necessary assistance," Hryhorov said.

He added that a search-and-rescue operation is ongoing and that information about the consequences of the attack is still being clarified.

Konotop Mayor Artem Semenikhin reported that three people are currently known to have been injured.

As previously reported, on June 5 Russian forces carried out a drone attack on Konotop, causing disruptions to electricity and water supplies.
