Russian forces attack public transport stop in Kherson region, killing civilian

In the Kherson region, a civilian was killed in a Russian drone attack on a bus stop, and proceedings have been opened.

As Ukrinform reports, the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office stated this on Telegram.

"According to the investigation, on June 1, 2026, at about 04:10, Russian military personnel carried out a drone attack on one of the streets in the village of Shyroka Balka," the statement said.

It is noted that as a result of the explosive device drop, a 62-year-old man who was at the public transport stop was killed. A pretrial investigation has been launched into the commission of a war crime that led to a person's death.

As Ukrinform reported, six people were injured in the Kherson region over the past day as a result of Russian aggression.
