Death toll after Russian strike in Kyiv rises to 21, including three children

The number of people killed as a result of the Russian strike on Kyiv has risen to 21. Emergency rescue operations are ongoing.

According to Ukrinform, the State Emergency Service stated this on Telegram.

"21 people, including 3 children, were killed as a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv on the night of May 14," the statement said.

Rescuers continue nonstop debris removal and the search for people in a residential building in Kyiv's Darnytskyi district.

As Ukrinform previously reported, on the night of May 14 Russian forces launched a massive air attack on Ukraine, targeting Kyiv among other locations.

Earlier reports said that 12 people had been killed in the capital, including two children, and 57 others had been injured.
