Russian forces strike Shevchenkove in Kharkiv region, injuring two people

Two people were injured as a result of a Russian strike on the settlement of Shevchenkove in Kupiansk district, Kharkiv region.

According to Ukrinform, Andrii Kanashhevych, head of the Kupiansk District Military Administration, reported this on Facebook.

"On May 12 at 09:50, on Vasyl Stus Street in the settlement of Shevchenkove, Shevchenkove community, an administrative building was damaged as a result of shelling involving a Gerbera-type UAV. At this time, reports indicate that a 57-year-old man and a 75-year-old woman were injured," the statement said.

Photos showing the aftermath of the strike were published by Serhii Starikov, head of the Shevchenkove community.

According to him, at the time of the attack, more than 30 employees of local council departments and state institutions — mostly women — were at their workplaces inside the building.

As previously reported, during the night of May 12 Russian troops attacked Velykyi Burluk in Kupiansk district and the village of Bezruky in Kharkiv district with drones, causing fires.
