Since early May, at least 70 civilians have been killed and over 500 wounded in Ukraine as a result of a wave of Russian attacks.

According to Ukrinform, the United Nations reported this on the social network X.

“At least 70 civilians have been killed and more than 500 injured across Ukraine since the start of May,” the UN reported.

In particular, according to the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine, on Tuesday, May 5, alone, 28 people were killed and 194 wounded during Russian attacks.

Both the scale of civilian casualties and the extent of the territory affected in just a few days are particularly alarming, said Mission Head Danielle Bell.

As reported by Ukrinform, President Zelensky stated that as of 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, the Russian army had committed 1,820 violations of the ceasefire, including shelling, attempted assaults, airstrikes, and the use of drones. He added that Ukraine would respond in kind, given Russia’s persistent appeals through the media and social networks requesting a “ceasefire” during the Moscow parade.
