Over the past two days, Russian forces attacked three Ukrposhta branches—in Kherson, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions.

According to Ukrinform, the CEO of Ukrposhta, Igor Smelyansky, reported this on Facebook.

"I really don’t like writing such news, but sometimes there are days that are harder than others. Over the past two days, one Ukrposhta branch was destroyed and two more were significantly damaged by the enemy," the post says.

As Smilianskyi noted, in Kherson, after a series of strikes, the building burned down completely.

"At the time of the attack, there were about 100 parcels inside—we will compensate the owners for each of them. While we assess the damage and process documents, residents of the area will be served by the nearest operating branches in Kherson," he added.

In Shostka, Sumy region, eight stained-glass windows and seven regular windows were shattered due to a nighttime attack.

"However, by dawn the team had already restored order on the premises: they cleaned up and patched the damaged facade. As of now, operations have resumed," the CEO clarified.

In Snovsk, Chernihiv region, windows were blown out and walls damaged at a Ukrposhta branch as a result of a Russian strike. "The team moved to shelter in time, so everyone is safe. We are working to eliminate the consequences," he noted.

"Despite everything, we continue our work, and I sincerely thank the team for their dedication and courage!" Smilianskyi emphasized.

According to Ukrinform, in the part of Donetsk region controlled by Ukraine, 30 Ukrposhta branches are currently operating—24 stationary and 6 mobile—while before the full-scale invasion there were 304 branches in total.
