Drone attack on Ternopil: fire contained, nine hits on industrial facilities reported

In Ternopil, rescuers have contained a fire that broke out as a result of enemy drone strikes.

The head of the Ternopil Regional Military Administration, Taras Pastukh stated this on Facebook.

"According to updated data, 36 aerial targets were recorded during the attack, 27 of which were destroyed by air defense forces. Unfortunately, 9 of them hit industrial facilities. The fire that broke out as a result of the strikes has been fully contained. SES units continue working at the sites to completely eliminate it," Pastukh said.

He added that the condition of a seriously injured person hospitalized after the attack has been reclassified as moderate, with good prospects for full recovery. The other six injured people are in moderate and mild condition. Authorities also reported that air quality monitoring has shown no exceedance of harmful substance limits.

Pastukh warned that, according to the Armed Forces, there is a risk of further attacks and urged people to avoid mass gatherings and not ignore air raid alerts.

As previously reported, more than 50 Shahed drones attacked Ternopil, with over 20 of them exploding, and the number of injured has risen to 11.
