Military base in Crimea, where Russia stores Iskander missiles, catches fire following a nighttime attack

Following an attack in the temporarily occupied Crimea on the night of April 27–28, a military base belonging to the occupying forces, where Iskander operational-tactical missile systems are stationed, caught fire.

According to Ukrinform, the Telegram channel Crimean Wind reported this.

“Following a nighttime attack in Crimea, a military unit where Russia stores its Iskander missiles caught fire, according to the Crimean Wind monitoring group, referring to satellite imagery,” the report states.

It is noted that the fire occurred south of the village of Mizhhiria in the Bilohirsk district on the territory of the former missile unit, military unit 82717.

The Telegram channel noted that this facility had already been targeted. On April 16, SSU drones struck two bases housing Iskander mobile short-range ballistic missile systems near the settlements of Mizhhiria and Kurortne.

It is also reported that explosions were heard overnight at the Sak Airfield in Novofedorivka, at the Kacha Airfield, and in Feodosiia.

Earlier, it was reported that the SSU struck three ships, a MiG-31 aircraft, and air defense facilities in Crimea.
