War update: Russians launch 76 attacks, Pokrovsk sector sees fiercest battles

Since the start of the day, the Russian army has attacked the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces 76 times. The enemy is focusing on the Pokrovsk sector and is showing increased activity in the Huliaipole sector.

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, releasing operational information as of 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 27.

Russian forces today struck the areas of Rohizne, Volfyne, Kucherivka, Sopych, Korenok, Ryzhivka, Atynske, Holyshivske, Malushyne, Ulanove, and Iskryskivshchyna in the Sumy region, as well as Tymonovychi in the Chernihiv region.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the Russians shelled settlements and Defense Forces positions 22 times, including three times using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the Russian Federation’s army attempted six times to improve its position in the areas of Ternove, Starytsia, and Okhrimivka. One of these attempts is ongoing.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy launched four assaults toward Kupiansk, Kindrashivka, Kivsharivka, and Novoosynove.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled six Russian attempts to advance toward Drobysheve and Lyman.

In the Sloviansk sector, the invaders launched four assaults toward Zakitne and Rai-Oleksandrivka. One of these is still ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy launched a single attack toward Nykyforivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian forces carried out seven attacks toward Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar, and Sofiivka. One of these attempts to advance is still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, since the start of the day, Russian forces have attempted 29 times to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from their positions toward Bilytske, Zatyshok, Nove Shakhove, Dorozhne, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Novooleksandrivka, Shevchenko, Hryshyne, Vasylivka, Udachne, Muravka, Molodetske, Novopidhorodne, and Novopavlivka. Four of these attacks are ongoing.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, the invaders launched three attacks toward Novohryhorivka and Verbove. One of the attacks is ongoing.

Enemy aircraft struck Lisne, Novoselivka, and Pokrovske.

In the Huliaipole sector, the Russians launched 13 attacks toward Ukrainian positions in the areas of Dobropillia, Pryluky, Olenokostiantynivka, Zaliznychne, Sviatopetrivka, Myrne, and Zahirne. Two of their attacks are ongoing.

The Russian Federation’s Air Force struck Rizdvianka, Verkhnia Tersa, Shyroke, Svoboda, Dolynka, Rivne, Novoselivka, and Liubytske.

In the Orikhiv sector, the invaders have not yet launched any assault operations today, but carried out airstrikes on the areas of Chervona Krynytsia, Zaporozhets, and Novooleksandrivka.

In the Prydniprovske sector, the enemy carried out three assaults in the areas of Bilohrudy Island and Antonivskyi Bridge. One of them is ongoing.

There have been no significant changes in other sections of the front. Russian troops are not attempting any new advances.

Defense Forces are exhausting the invaders along the entire front line and in the rear.

As reported by Ukrinform, Ukrainian defenders are conducting counterattacks in the Charivne area of the Zaporizhzhia region.
