About 20% of Shahed-type attack drones used by Russia are equipped with real-time (online) control capabilities via networks operating from Russian territory.

Serhii Beskrestnov ("Flash"), an advisor to Ukraine's defense minister, said this on television when asked about how widespread this technology is among Shahed drones, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"It's very widespread. We now see that approximately 20% of these Shaheds have online control thanks to networks from the territory of the Russian Federation," he said.

Beskrestnov also spoke about his condition following an incident in which a jet-powered Shahed drone struck his home.

"I still have some health issues, but the most important thing is that I survived. I want to continue working to defend our country," he said.

He added that his home and property were completely destroyed in the attack.

As reported, Beskrestnov earlier stated that Russian forces had attempted to assassinate him using a jet-powered drone.
