Russian strike hits vet clinic near Kyiv, leaving dozens of animals dead

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine showed how animals were evacuated from a veterinary clinic in Chabany, Kyiv region, following Russia’s massive attack on April 3.

According to Ukrinform, the SES published video and photos on Telegram.

“In Chabany, Kyiv region, Russians attacked a veterinary clinic where defenseless animals were undergoing treatment and temporary care…,” the statement reads.

As noted by the SES, “rescuers fought for every life: they carried out an emergency evacuation of the animals from the damaged building, supplied oxygen to the injured animals, and tried to stabilize the condition of the wounded patients.”

Despite all efforts, not all of them could be saved, the SES emphasized.

As reported by Ukrinform, damage from the Russian massive attack on April 3 was recorded in the Bucha, Fastiv, and Obukhiv districts of the Kyiv region. One person was killed and eight others were injured, including a child.

The National Police reported on Telegram that in the Fastiv district, about 20 animals were killed in a veterinary clinic as a result of Russian strikes.
