Fire at critical infrastructure facility in Bukovyna extinguished after Russian attack

Rescuers from the State Emergency Service extinguished a 100-square-meter fire in the Chernivtsi region caused by a Russian attack.

According to Ukrinform, the State Emergency Service reported this on Facebook.

“Russia has once again attacked critical infrastructure facilities in the Chernivtsi region. The attack caused a fire,” the statement said.

According to the State Emergency Service, "the cleanup efforts were complicated by repeated air raid alerts, but rescuers extinguished the fire, which covered an area of 100 square meters, and prevented it from spreading further.

There were no injuries or fatalities.

A total of 38 rescue workers and seven pieces of equipment were deployed to deal with the aftermath.

As reported by Ukrinform, on April 1, a fire broke out in the Chernivtsi region after two Russian drones struck a power facility.
