War update: 88 clashes on front line since morning, Pokrovsk sector remains most active

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this on Facebook in its operational update as of 16:00 on Tuesday, March 31.

"Since the beginning of the day, the number of enemy attacks has reached 88," the statement said.

According to the General Staff, the aggressor continues shelling border areas. In the Sumy region, the settlements of Budky, Khodyne, Bachivsk, Ryzhivka, Rohizne, Ulanove, Vyntorivka, Krenydivka, Malushyne, and Otruby were affected; in the Chernihiv region – Lohy and Serhiivske.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the enemy carried out 39 shelling attacks on settlements and Ukrainian positions, one of them using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy attempted three times to improve its positions near Starytsia, Vovchanski Khutory, and Okhrimivka. One attack is ongoing.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy conducted one assault near Nova Kruhliakivka.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled two attempts to advance toward Drobysheve and Lyman.

In the Sloviansk sector, Russian forces attempted twice to advance toward Riznykivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, one attempt was made to advance toward Kostiantynivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, the invaders carried out 16 attacks near Sofiivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, Mykolaipillia, and Kostiantynivka. Three battles are ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, since the start of the day, Russian forces have made 44 attempts to push Ukrainian troops from their positions near Bilytske, Nove Shakhove, Myrnohrad, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Muravka, Molodetske, Novopidhorodne, Horikhove, and Filiia. Three assaults are still ongoing.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy carried out seven attacks toward Rivnopillia, Oleksandrohrad, Pryvillia, Novomykolaivka, and Nove Zaporizhzhia. Three engagements continue.

In the Huliaipole sector, 11 attacks were recorded near Rivnopillia, Olenokostiantynivka, Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, and Myrne. Airstrikes targeted areas near Vozdvyzhivka, Huliaipilske, Yehorivka, Dolynka, Kopani, and Krynivka.

In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy launched airstrikes near Mykilske, Veselianka, and Novooleksandrivka, without conducting ground assaults.

In the Prydniprovske sector, Russian forces attempted one attack near Bilohrudyi Island.

No significant changes have been recorded in other sectors, and no enemy advances have been observed.

As Ukrinform previously reported, Russian attempts to use fog and drizzle to conceal advances near Hryshyne, northwest of Pokrovsk, have been unsuccessful, with Ukrainian Air Assault Forces targeting enemy units before they reach the settlement.
